Discworld command help

spellcheck

Name

spellcheck - Check a spell to see if you can cast it.

Syntax

spellcheck [fully] <spellname>

Description

This command may be used to probe a spell that you have remembered to find out what skills and components it uses. Using the "fully" flag will also let you compare your skills against those needed in each stage of the casting.

Your success in gaining accurate information is determined by your bonus in magic.spells.special compared to the level of the spell (checking a spell fully is more difficult), and checking a spell will cost 25 magic guild points and 25 more points per casting stage will be used for a full check until you run out of magic guild points.
