(Answer) (Category) Discworld Faq-O-Matic : (Category) The Rules and How to Avoid Breaking Them :
Can two people use the same computer?
If two people want to play from one computer than they can, but there are several rules they must follow.

If two people play from the same computer, it is very difficult for us to tell that they are not multiplaying. Therefore, we ask that the two characters should not interact in any way. This means that if you use the same computer to play, you cannot drop stuff for your friend to log in and pick up, and mailing them items is also against the rules.

You must never have two characters logged on from the same computer simultaneously.

See help multiplechars for more information on this topic.
