I have a voucher but I don't know what to do with it.
Your voucher is your little gateway which opens up to the big wide world of the Discworld chat system.

The talker helpfile lists those places where you can use the 'exchange' command to trade your voucher for a talker.

Talkers come in all shapes and sizes; for example, in Ankh-Morpork, it's a small stick, in Bes Pelargic it's a small statue of a golden lemur, and in Sto Lat you are rewarded with a small wooden cabbage.

Each talker can be used in exactly the same way. Read 'syntax talker' when you have one for more information about how to use it.

Of course, the voucher isn't the only way to get a talker - what if you have it stolen from you, or you lose it in a horrible quantum fire? Another possibility is to ask a witch or wizard to use one of their spells to convert an item into a talker, which will spare you the weight of an extra item to carry around.

You can also talk to Jorodin, who owns a small shop on Short Street in Ankh-Morpork, to convert any of your items into a talker for the mere price of one dollar.
