Cantankerous, Part 2, posted on Fri Jan 10 15:05:21 2025 | Posted by: Kake | Category: General | The change to bathroom furniture that I blogged about last month has now been implemented. Specifically:
From now on, the "fill" command for bathroom furniture such as baths and basins will only work when the furniture item is "plumbed in", i.e. placed as furniture.
While I'm here, I will also reiterate my previous explanation for this change, to make sure it's clear. This isn't about "realism", and it isn't about wanting to make sailing more difficult. The reason for this change is to make ...Read The Rest Of This Entry |
Some Horsey Tweaks, posted on Thu Jan 9 12:37:46 2025 | Posted by: Pit | Category: General | This bugfix weekend saw a few horsey bugs repaired:
* Grooming towels were getting damaged at a much higher rate than the other grooming gear, and sometimes quietly breaking. They now take the same level of damage as the rest.
* Horses will no longer come to their owners while said owners are flying through the air on a broomstick. (If they still do, please file a bugreport with a log that might show how it came to be. If you step into the air room through a portal while sat on, or leading, a ho...Read The Rest Of This Entry |
Duck!, posted on Fri Dec 27 22:47:42 2024 | Posted by: Guildenstern | Category: Guilds | Ridcully's Travelling Furniture Manufactory now works properly when cast in water.
This was a perfectly understandable mistake that was by no means anyone's fault and was in fact something that could have happened to anyone. |
Weight, Weight, Don't Tell Me!, posted on Fri Dec 20 15:11:23 2024 | Posted by: Fran | Category: Guilds | Items made heavier with Luquayle's Longevity-Enhancing Ballast or Mama Adena's Burden of Responsibility had their enchantment decaying more than was intended. This has now been fixed. You may need to check the enchantment level of such items and top them up as appropriate.
Natural talismen now decay to the same relative thaum level as their deluded counterparts.
NOTE: When making items heavier they keep their amount of enchantment resulting in an apparent reduction in relative enchantment. T...Read The Rest Of This Entry |

Re-reforging A Dwarfish Axe., posted on Fri Dec 13 07:07:43 2024 | Posted by: Fran | Category: Ram (domain pages) | I've fixed the bug in the reforged dwarf axe that would sometimes cause the judge command to report misleading information.
The axe has had no changes to it's utility in combat.
You will need to su with the axe in your inventory for the fix to apply if you're online when this is posted.

Re-Re-Aurienting, posted on Wed Dec 11 15:51:55 2024 | Posted by: Stygian | Category: Cwc (domain pages) | This Bugfix Weekend once again focused on fixes and updates for the Counterweight Continent (and beyond). Here are some of the most noteworthy changes:
* The smithy on Rhinu Road now has ash you can sweep up yourself.
* The Holy Abacus of Cabbage-Slaying now correctly slays cabbages.
* Fixed several Agatean family titles that assumed the player was male. All titles are now gender-agnostic.
* Agatean family crests have had their description and materials updated to make it clearer that they a...Read The Rest Of This Entry |
Cantankerous, posted on Wed Dec 11 11:46:37 2024 | Posted by: Kake | Category: Waterways (domain pages) | In a few weeks' time, we will be changing all bathroom furniture so that the "fill" command will only work when the furniture item is "plumbed in", i.e. placed as furniture. The reason for this change is that the existence of portable items providing unlimited access to water creates issues with balance that make it harder to (a) maintain existing systems that use or are affected by water and (b) implement new systems that use or are affected by water.
We are aware that this change on its own w...Read The Rest Of This Entry |
You'll Clean That Up Before You Leave, posted on Wed Dec 4 14:54:27 2024 | Posted by: Kake | Category: General | Some changes have been made to who can displace furniture and remove items from player housing that is listed for auction. Specifically, from now on, only the previous tenant and anyone they "allow"ed in the property will be able to remove things during the auction period.
There are several reasons for this change. It provides a "grace period" for players who have gone inactive or run out of money during an unexpected absence from the Disc, allowing them or their cohabitants to move their belo...Read The Rest Of This Entry |
A Flying Visit, posted on Thu Nov 21 23:15:53 2024 | Posted by: Kadath | Category: General | Just a quick notification about some adjustments to items and spells:
* Djinn flame weapons no longer give off light if the flame colour is some variation of "black".
* To assist with the above, the willing well in the djinn outpost now has a proper help file that shows all its commands and their syntaxes.
* The djinn flying hammer (both versions) was rather weaker than intended and has been adjusted to bring it more inline with other djinn weapons. The weight is now a little lower and the ...Read The Rest Of This Entry |
