| There's Always A Catch., posted on Wed Oct 29 15:10:59 2025 | | Posted by: Fran | | Category: Special | Both door and furniture latches had a bug that prevented them from working correctly. The door latches are now fixed but furniture latches have been removed temporarily for further bugfixing.
If you used a latch on a door, you can buy a new latch and install it, or ask a liaison to fix it for you.
If you used a latch on a piece of furniture, you can buy a new furniture lock and install it, or ask a liaison to fix it for you.

| My Door Is Aways Unlocked, posted on Sun Oct 26 16:10:13 2025 | | Posted by: Fran | | Category: Special | Locksmiths the Disc over have started stocking new items for those who don't feel the need to lock up their property and possessions.
You may now buy latches without locks for your player house doors and furniture.
To install them, use the syntax:
change [lock in] <door or furniture> for <latch>

| Sheathing And A Peek Ahead, posted on Wed Oct 22 06:15:07 2025 | | Posted by: Presto | | Category: Special | A few small things (that's what this blog is for, right?):
1. I made a small change to the sheathe command a few weeks ago so that if you don't give it a specific scabbard, it will try your worn scabbards before unworn ones.
2. I also updated the sheathe help file, because there was a feature from 2009 about using 'identify' that I suspect few people, if any, knew about. (I wasn't aware of it!)
3. At some point in the near future I'll be removing the restriction that you can only get one handfu...Read The Rest Of This Entry |
| Fixing Armour And Shielding Misattribution., posted on Sat Aug 9 09:10:14 2025 | | Posted by: Fran | | Category: Special | We have fixed a long-standing bug in combat messages. If you had a layered set of damage mitigations the combat code would sometimes credit the wrong layer as having stopped the most damage.
This is now fixed.

| No Longer A Stab In The Dark, posted on Tue Jul 29 20:13:46 2025 | | Posted by: Kadath | | Category: Special | I've updated the 'judge' command so that it is now possible to assess a weapon's suitability for stealthy attacks, such as backstabbing and ambushing.
There's no change to the syntax, you will simply see the additional information if you have a certain level of familiarity with using weapons covertly. The accuracy, like the rest of the command, depends on a number of different factors.
Please note the following:
- There has been no change to any other aspect of judge; the non-covert aspects...Read The Rest Of This Entry |
| What A Mission!, posted on Wed Sep 11 14:36:18 2024 | | Posted by: Fran | | Category: Special | Your dedicated creator team has fixed a number of mission related bugs this month. The most notable are:

* A bug in Pennie Laced has been fixed; it is now no longer possible to accidentally find the required item twice by queueing search commands, and hence it is no longer possible to accidentally lock yourself out of getting the mission ...Read The Rest Of This Entry |
| Trample Bugfix, posted on Thu Apr 18 08:40:38 2024 | | Posted by: Capita | | Category: Special | | The release of clownmounting on April 1 introduced a new bug that stopped horses from trampling in combat. This has now been fixed. |
| Pancake Tuesday, posted on Tue Feb 13 02:26:20 2024 | | Posted by: Capita | | Category: Special | Happy Pancake Day!
You can now fry pancakes in a frying pan, skillet, or wok. This requires a heat source like brewing, as well as flour, raw egg (from cracking eggs), milk, and butter. You can also add any seasonings and up to 1 optional ingredient of your choice!

| Loitering Within Tent, posted on Fri Feb 9 11:03:20 2024 | | Posted by: Guildenstern | | Category: Special | The range of tents available has been expanded, and you can now go camping around the Disc! Some highlights:
* Erecting a tent will keep the room it's in loaded, which means that the stuff you leave in it (and outside it) will not be eaten by the inevitable progress of time for a few days - even if you log out.
* WARNING: It can still be picked up by players or NPCs, and a crash or a reboot will destroy it all. Anything you lose like this will not be replaced by Liaisons.
* You will need ...Read The Rest Of This Entry |
