About Sur

—The Bursar craned to see. "Well, it's probably more interesting than putting in lots of cabbage farms."

Sur is short for the surroundings of Ankh-Morpork, and covers the areas from the Circle Sea through to the Ramtops, filling the space from the deserts of Klatch to the mountains of Ram. It includes the forest of Skund, the Circle Sea, the Morpork mountains, many rivers, the Carrack foothills, countless small farming communities, the cities of the Sto Plains, and other major towns such as Quirm and Pseudopolis. Most of all, however, it has cabbages.

Sur is (as always!) in the middle of a number of small projects, although no major new developments are underway at the moment. As usual, our creators are kept busy improving existing areas, tweaking and tuning and keeping everyone interested and everything working as it should.

Sur is not actively seeking new coders, however those who are interested in contributing to the domain are still welcome to apply, particularly if you have programming experience in C or a descendant, and enjoy working with fiddly complicated code. Mudmail or chat to Tique, Dasquian, or any other member of the Sur team, then submit your application using the apply command.

Want to know more about the Sur domain?

Escape the big city and explore... the slightly less big Sto Lat. Explore the depths of Skund forest and the Carrack foothills, and find hungry wolves, ancient beasts and slavering zombies. Visit the sleepy farming communities and see if there are any jobs going. Chat with any member of the Sur domain, they're all good people (except for that one, he's horrific).
