What are all these 'afk' and 'brb' things?
No, there are lots of shortcuts that people use when typing. Here are a few of the common ones.
  • AFK - Away From Keyboard - this means a bathroom break or something of the like.
  • BRB - Be Right Back
  • IMHO - In My Humble Opinion
  • BBL - Be Back Later - They are off to do something else. The conversation is over.
  • AFAIK - As Far As I Know
  • IIRC - If I Recall Correctly
