Which guild is the best?
There is no "best" guild, every guild has its pro's and its con's. In general, you choose a guild that fits best with how you envision your character or playing style to be. In the Newbie Area you will be able to read about every guild in the Guilds Garden. This might help make your choice easier, so be sure to read all the available info.

Generally speaking, as a first-time player you might find that choosing one of the warrior specialisations is easiest. This doesn't work for everybody, though, so you should read the information on all the different guilds first, and consider how you want to play your character.

Remember that there is no limit as to how many characters you can have. There is nothing preventing you from having a character in every guild. Make sure you review and follow the rules when having multiple characters, though!

Most guilds have advantages for less experienced players: Warriors are very straightforward for a beginner - it's all about killing things. Thieves can often make money quicker than most other young characters. Priests are very versatile, and Wizards both fascinating and quite powerful. The Witches are usually quite friendly towards newer players.

We generally consider the Assassins' Guild to be one of the most difficult to play, and cannot help you join it because joining it is a test of sorts. This guild is not recommended for new players, although you are very welcome to try and see if you are up to the challenge.

To summarise: explore, talk to people, and ask yourself what kind of character you want to play. Nobody can tell you what guild you should join better than yourself.
