(Answer) (Category) Discworld Faq-O-Matic : (Category) General information about surviving life online. :
I ran out of money!
There are lots of ways to make money. The best way for a beginner is to walk around, collect the stuff lying on the ground and sell it. DO NOT try to kill things. At this point, you can't even kill the rats. And when you think of equipping stuff that you find, remember, no one else picked it up for a reason. It's crap. With a few rare exceptions.
When you are more able to kill things, likely sources of money are first unguarded merchants, then NPC thieves, which have some valuable equipment. Ohulan-Cutash peasants also have a few coins on them, but remember to "consider" everything before you kill it. Later, you might want to try the warriors in Skund, but evil trolls patrol the forest at night and wolves will eat you if you go too far from the path. These warriors are hard, but some people kill them and just bury the corpses, so you can make money by wandering around the main path typing "recover all" in every square and hoping that you'll find some corpses which still have equipment on.
